Hogan returns in search of another podium

Mick Hogan Originally from Mallow in County Cork, now residing Hometown: Mallow, County Cork now residing in Bristol in England, 47-year-old Mick Hogan returns to Cookstown, where back in 2021, he scored a podium in the Junior Support class. Manager of a team, which upgrades Railway Stations in South England, Mick has been racing on the roads for three years now, it was after competing at hill climbs at venues such as Dundenrrow, Roberts Cove and the Twohigs hillclimbs near Cork, that started the ‘between the hedges’ racing! Prior to racing motorcycles, Hogan had also been involved in various other forms of motorsports, but the two wheels give him the most significant buzz! For Cookstown, Mick is sticking with his trusty Suzuki GSX-R 750 (a great yoke) and an ER6 (a more sensitive/temperamental yoke). It is no surprise that Mick would love to hit the podium again, but regardless of the results, we always have an absolute blast! Cookstown has such a great atmosphere and a welcoming crowd, and I'm looking forward to returning. Mick, who works for ‘Action Rail & Civil Engineering’ wishes to pass on a big Thanks to his loyal sponsors; Hogie Bear Racing, Action Rail & Civil Engineering, Barry Leech plant services & repairs, P&R motorsport transport IRL & UK. CJ Scott. The 2023 Cookstown 100 has been rebranded, Thanks to a new Sponsor ‘CDE Group’. CDE is proud to support the 2023 Cookstown 100 In memoriam of Paddy Convery (11.03.62 - 26.12.22), brother of our Chairman and Founder, Tony, we are proud to announce that CDE is the main sponsor for this year’s Cookstown 100 on 21 and 22 April. Paddy Convery had a passion and dedication to the world of road racing that was second to none. An advocate for the next generation of racers, Paddy supported wherever he could and was a safe pair of hands sweeping riders up when they fell. Last night, Adrian Convery attended the press night in the Royal Hotel, Cookstown, along with members, competitors, and well-known faces in road racing. It was great to get together and hear stories that span over 100 years. CDE is proud to be able to support the event in Paddy’s memory. It’s an event that brings both the local community and those from further afield together to celebrate an incredible sport. If you’re attending, we hope you have a great weekend, and we wish all the riders a safe and successful event!
