Redmond, Back again

Anthony Redmond, Back again! Manx based Manchester-born, Anthony Redmond has been a newcomer to the Cookstown 100 twice! He made his debut in 2008 when his better half was due to give birth two days before they left for Ireland, she stayed at home – Team Redmond left for the Cookstown 100, with strict instructions to the Mrs to hold the baby in until their return on Sunday! But- her waters broke on Friday evening, then around 5 am (which was practice day) Anthony received the news that he had a baby son Aron! ( The spelling of this name was chosen from the 2008 Cookstown programme, in which, should have read Anthony!) Without a doubt, Anthony was chuffed to bits, although this meant the following year was rather difficult to attend, as it meant missing his son's first birthday, not forgetting the fact that he also missed the actual birth, but somehow they just managed to get away! Come 2010, and strict orders from the boss (lol) meant he wasn’t allowed to miss his sons birthday anymore, however, with the change of date in 2021, when the event ran in September, Anthony was able to return, ( and as a newcomer!), but this time, with his son, now 13 years of age, and a great help he was too! luckily the 100th anniversary 2022 meeting falls on the 22/23rd of April, which means Team Redmond can be home for his 14th birthday on Monday! Like father, Like son, Aron now races himself and understands his Dad missing his birth and first birthday and says he would have done the same! Anthony Redmond will be in action on his 650 Kawasaki and 100 BMW, #146
