And it is only now, that he is getting ready for the Only national road race in Ireland of 2020, the KDM Hire Cookstown 100! An overhead linesman, who helps maintain the electric network in the Birmingham area, began racing back in 2014, since then he has progressed to Thundersport where he has had wins in the Pre Injection class, before moving on to the very competitive CB 500 Class in 2017, of which he clinched this championship at the end of seasons Darley Moor circuit. . Andys first road race was last year at the southern 100 onboard a Ducati 748. His dream was to compete at the Manx gp which he had planned to enter next year but it may be 2022 before he can get entry now. The KDM Hire Cookstown 100 will be his first Irish road race. coming over to race the Irish roads feels like the right step forward for him to gain some experience in preparation for the Manx. Andy is no stranger to Ireland,as he has been coming over to Ireland since he was a child and loves the place. He has family in Donegal and Mayo and some of them will be coming to watch him race for the first time this weekend. Andy will be in both Support races, competing on a triumph 675 and a Kawasaki zxr400.
