Jordan aimimg for the Top at KDM Hire Cookstown 100

Former British Supercup front runner in the 125 class, and now a front runner at the national road races is Magherafelt rider Paul Jordan. Jordan, who now rides for the Dafabet race team at the International road races, will just have the one bike at the KDM Hire Cookstown 100, the AR Yamaha 600, of which he will ride in both the 600 and Open races. Its been a long haul since Paul began racing, back in 2006,when he took to the grid on a 125 Honda. He was introduced to the sport in a rather strange way! Thanks to the Late Mark Young , getting his brother ( Gary) his first 125 machine, once the bike was in the family, the bug was bitten. Since then Paul has mixed with the best in Ireland on the smaller bikes, and was a front runner in the now defunct Supercup championship,( taking a third place in the championship!) where he rode for the KRP Team. Jordan also had a wildcard at the British Grand Prix, where he just finished outside the points in 16th place. Last year at Armoy, Paul scored his first outright road race win in the 600 class, when he beat neighbour Adam McLean in a thrilling race. Jordan impressed in his debut for the Dafabet team at the Ulster Grand Prix, finishing 6th in the superstock race ahead of his team mate Dominic Herbertson,, Joradn then went on to finish an impressive 14th on his macau debut. The KDM Hire Cookstown 100 begins with a Classic run on Thursday evening, with bikes leaving the Burn Road Car Park at 7.15 pm. Roads close on Friday at 12 noon, and on Saturday at 10.00am.
