Sheehan racing

As young lads, the thrill of road racing, was a distant dream for the Sheehan brothers, but, having ventured to the circuits a few years ago, the road racing dream, looked a reality.

Last year, saw, Barry, the elder of the brothers make his road race debut at the KDM Cookstown 100, Like many, he was well and truly bitten by the road racing bug. Barry ended the year by taking his first ever win, when he took a race win at Killalane.

For the 2015 season, younger brother Wayne will make his debut in a few weeks time, at the KDM Cookstown, both riders will compete in the Junior support race.

!We first watched the KDM Cookstown races about 5 years ago, along with our Dad,  we have always been a fan of road racing, but never really thought, that one day, we would actually take part in a road race!!

Barry  spoke of the Orrittor circuit,” I have always been a fan of road racing , I have been racing on the  short circuits  for the last 3 years and now I'm going to make a move to the roads.

I really like the Cookstown circuit as the road surface is very good and it is a nice flowing circuit , it will be good to get back to the orrittor circuit again,  and it will be even better since myself and my brother Wayne will both be racing, it will be his second time racing up there I'm just really excited now and can't wait to get going this year roll on Cookstown”
